“For every dollar spent on higher ed in prison (HEP), five dollars are saved in recidivism costs.” With compelling evidence to demonstrate the efficacy of HEP programs, recent policy changes, and an increased appetite for serving justice-impacted populations, these programs are on the rise and will be accessible to more students in the coming year.
