I am a managing editor at Education Development Center (EDC) and a project coordinator for the STEM-OPS INCLUDES Alliance. Through my nearly 30 years at EDC, I have developed a body of work around service and support to my colleagues. One of my favorite roles is managing the development of curriculum and professional learning programs (both in print and online) and program websites, from inception to publication. My coordination of numerous authors, workflows, and timelines keeps project teams on task while subject matter experts concentrate on creating the content. While managing the workflows, I often get the opportunity to edit the programs, which allow me to enjoy reading about the latest STEM topics. PreK–12 curriculum programs I have coordinated and edited include Insights in Biology, A World in Motion, and Amgen Biotech Experience. I also coordinate the piloting and field testing of new curriculum programs in classrooms—recruiting teachers, developing and administering surveys, and collecting and analyzing feedback. I received my BA in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. I live in Southeastern Massachusetts with my husband, three cats, eight chickens, dozens of goldfish, and 40,000 honeybees.
