During my tenure at Education Development Center, I have managed projects that focus on equity in STEM education. My interests center on better serving underserved and underrepresented populations in STEM. I have co-led large-scale district-wide implementation programs in STEM and equity-focused programming. Notably, I co-led a partnership with Chicago Public Schools that provided support around mathematics education to teachers in over 100 schools. I also managed a project with Pittsburgh Public Schools where teachers completed a 2-year program discussing equity in mathematics in their classrooms. Currently, I am helping to manage a partnership that elevates high-quality STEM programs in prison settings. Prior to coming to EDC, I led community and school programs at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL. My favorite was a parent–child science-based after school program in the south side of Chicago. I also taught sixth grade in Chicago Public Schools. I hold an MEd from DePaul University in Curriculum Studies and a BA from Ball State University in Elementary Education.
